Megan D. Owen Cox (owner), MAR Pastoral Counseling is a pastoral trauma counselor, specializing in spiritual process groups, individual Christian Therapy,
DNMS, Internal Family Systems and EMDR. MCCC is a unique practice in that our clinicians have developed a specialty surrounding the full spectrum of dissociative disorders (including DID), successfully utilizing the modality of DNMS therapy (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy -- an ego state therapy) AND systems for helping those affected by religious trauma.
Megan is trauma-informed, certified in crisis response with the AACC, certified in bereavement therapy and, also, suicidology with CAMS. Megan runs a trauma-informed team of Master's Level Clinicians who work together, holistically, to bring healing and hope.
Megan Owen Cox
Fully-certified since 2012 as a crisis pastoral counselor (MAR, Pastoral Counseling), Megan has been successfully companioning clients all over the country while facilitating their self-growth. Her services aim to help heal trauma and abuse, work with those who suffer from dissociative disorders and, even, to serve "ex-vangelicals" who are leaving their church -- but not their faith. Megan has written a curriculum for spiritual processing groups.She is trained in EMDR and DNMS (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy). Certified in bereavement, crisis response, trauma therapies and suicidology. She is also a Chaplain, certified with the ACPE.
Megan resides in Denver, CO, with her four adored and adoring children. She loves her job and her how and will walk through the fire to help a client find healing. Like Elle (below), you can find her drinking hot coffee and breathing in the fresh mountain air, every chance she gets!

These cohort-style groups meet once a month surrounding a specific topic. They are drop-in and you can register for one or all of them! These brave humans work with Megan and members of her team to dig into holistic understanding of faith and process spiritual abuse & trauma.

Elle Renee Arters
Coach and Moderator for MCCC, Elle has an illustrious background in coaching and helping women who find themselves struggling within abuse, leaving abuse and (in particular), dealing with Parental Alienation. Elle moderates and leads both the Parental Alienation Groups and the DV Crisis Groups.
Elle is also the Communications & Design Manager at a global environmental company, She enjoys any opportunity to use her gifts & interests in learning how to live the healthiest, thriving life we’re all capable of experiencing & believes God has for us, and educating & encouraging others to do the same. She is a GraceLife certified Discipleship Mentor, as well as a Give Her Wings certified Victims Advocate. Currently, she educates & advocates through her writings, developing creative media graphics, hosting online support groups at multiple social media platforms & offering parental alienation related consulting appointments.
Elle resides just outside of Charlotte, NC with her husband of almost 2 years! Between the two of them, they have 7 children, ages 17-25. You can find her traveling any chance she gets, writing, hanging out with friends on the weekends & catching up on all the Netflix & coffee she can unreasonably consume.
